Effective for the September, 2006 renewal, and for the next three renewal cycles after that until March 31, 2008, real estate licensees can renew for FREE.
Because of the large numbers of new licensees, fees to the Department have exceeded the Division of Real Estate’s budget, so the Division is giving it back by waiving renewal fees. The $5 fee to fight unlicensed activity is not included in the fee waiver and must be paid.
Sales associates will save $85, and brokers will save $95 in renewal fees. This does NOT mean the licensees don’t have to renew. All licensees still must renew their licenses after taking the required education.
