Default Out-of-state license

Florida does not have mutual recognition with either Virginia or Maryland. As such, to become licensed in Florida you will have to complete some education for Florida.

If you have been licensed in either state for over one year you could go right into the broker education (72 hours) if you wanted to get a Florida real estate broker license. If you just want to become a Florida real estate sales associate, you would need to take the 63-hour sales associate course. Either of these courses can be done online.

Upon enrollment in any of our online courses, we will provide you with all of the paperwork that you will have to submit to the state so you can sit for the state licensing exam. After you have approval from the state and after you have successfully finished the online course, you can sit for the state exam. The state exam is given by the nationwide testing company, Promissor. This means that you will be able to take the Florida licensing exam from most major U.S. cities.

I hope that this information is helpful to you.
