Default Questions I probably know the answer to!

Hi, I am a former agent/broker/broker manager in the state of Iowa, which expired in 2000 or so........I can get specifics. All in good standing.

Is FL or IA more difficult in licensure knowledge?
Can I take the exam in the state of Iowa before I move to FL?
I've take a certified class in Manufactured housing, do you need a real estate license to sell that? (we do in IA)

I am very good in the business, but would want to be in the Ocala market, or The Villages, area, or mfg housing communities. How would I get linked up with them? Just want to be an agent, broker not necessary!

I'm delighted to find this site, and for those out there, this is FAR less expensive than online courses in the state of IOWA, same w/testing and licensure fees!
Thanks for your assistance,
Iowa Girl

Hi Iowa Girl:

Not being familiar with Iowa licensure requirements, I am not certain if Florida's education requirements are more difficult or not. In Florida you are only required to successfully complete a 63 hour course.

Yes, you can complete the educational requirement online and sit for the state exam in Iowa before moving down to Florida. Simply submit your application to the state (we supply the application upon enrollment), complete the online course, and sit for the state exam upon approval. (The application can be submitted before completion of the course and usually takes between two and four weeks to be approved.)

I would recommend doing a Google seach to find the contact information of broker offices in the Ocala/The Villages area. Once you have some phone numbers, I would recommend making some calls to find which offices are hiring.

I hope that this information is useful to you. If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to post them here.
