On March 21, Florida entered in to a mutual recognition agreement with Connecticut, making Connecticut the 11th state to have such an agreement with Florida. The other states are Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Mississippi, Nebraska, Oklahoma and Tennessee. Brokers and Sales Associates can qualify for an equivalent type license in Florida if they are at least 18 years old, have a high school diploma, are NOT residents of Florida at the time of application, and pass Florida’s 40-question law exam with 75% of the questions answered correctly.
Florida licensees may become licensees with any of these states by having similar qualifications. In some states, the term “Reciprocity” may be used instead of “Mutual Recognition”.
