No More “Transaction Broker Notice”

Effective July 1, 2008, licensees who are transaction brokers no longer need to give prospective buyers or sellers the “Transaction Broker Notice.” Single agents in a transaction and licensees who have no brokerage relationships must continue to give written notice to customers of their status.

Broker Experience Requirement Recently Increased

Governor Crist recently signed legislation that increased the broker experience requirement. Previously, a sales associate had to work under a licensed broker for at least 12 months during the preceding 5 years. The required experience was increased to 24 months effective July 1, 2008.
