The Florida Broker exam has changed significantly effective July 1, 2011. For many years, the broker exam consisted of a composite closing statement problem that candidates had to complete and answer five questions counting 2 points each. The Florida Broker exam will change significantly after June 30, 2011. Kentucky no longer a “mutual recognition” state

The mutual recognition agreement between Kentucky and Florida has expired. Kentucky licensees must now take the pre-licensing course and the 100-question state exam.

No More “Transaction Broker Notice”

Effective July 1, 2008, licensees who are transaction brokers no longer need to give prospective buyers or sellers the “Transaction Broker Notice.” Single agents in a transaction and licensees who have no brokerage relationships must continue to give written notice to customers of their status.
