License eligibility extended to December 31
DBPR Emergency Order (E.O.) 2020-08 (June 2020)
The deadlines for licensure eligibility and state license examination eligibility are extended through December 31, 2020. The effective date of the Order is June 9, 2020. The Order supersedes section 4 of the DBPR Emergency Order 2020-03 issued on March 9, 2020.
Specifically, the EO 2020-08 extends the following:
1. State license exam. If an applicant does not pass the state license exam within two years of the course completion date (the date the student passed the pre-license end-of-course exam) the course completion expires and the applicant must again complete the pre-license education course. DBPR EO 2020-08 extends the date to pass the license exam to December 31, 2020. If a student who passed the end-of-course exam and the two-year eligibility to take the state exam ended on March 9, 2020 or later, the student may take the state exam through December 31, 2020. (Note: March 9, 2020 was the effective date of DBPR E.O. 2020-03. DBPR E.O 2020-08 is meant to cover the gap between both orders.)
